Apparently people are posting their female character icons as a result of the chart as well (FUCK YOU, SHE'S AWESOME round twenty or so), and who am I to refuse showing off my icons?

I keep meaning to pimp this out. Stealing some of this language from octopedingenue.
One of my favorite mangaka and the creator of Saiyuki, Wild Adapter, and Bus Gamer, Kazuya Minekura, is seriously ill with a bone disease and has naturally placed all of her ongoing manga projects on hiatus.
cranes4minekura is a project assembling a thousand paper cranes folded by fans to mail to Minekura and wish her well. The first deadline for mailing your crane contribution was yesterday, but there have been so many cranes that we're assembling a second thousand to send to her later.
My cranes are ugly but made with love. Go check it out, and fold some too! Postage for paper cranes is cheap. (Cheep?) smillaraaq has put a tremendous amount of work into this project, and the pictures are amazing! |
